A Grand Forks hotel has closed for a roughly $250,000 renovation project, but it should reopen this spring.
The Grand Forks Inn and Suites closed Friday for the three- to four-month project, said Jeff Jasperson, president of JLJ Management and representative for the hotel’s parent company, NHS of Grand Forks.
“We love this property and we want to make it a great place to meet, stay and enjoy for years to come,” the owners said in a news release.
Formerly known as the Holiday Inn, the hotel at 1210 N. 43rd St. was built in 1966.
The renovations planned in the coming months include roof and mechanical improvements as wells as cosmetic upgrades, Jasperson said.
