A Grand Forks man, who with his siblings is facing extensive drug charges, was sentenced to 10½ years in federal prison this week after he pleaded guilty to conspiring to move methamphetamine and other drugs from Texas into Minnesota and North Dakota. Shawn Houle faced 11 felony charges Wednesday in court alleging he burglarized or otherwise trespassed at six homes in south Grand Forks early Tuesday morning, mostly rifling through vehicles in the garages or driveways. Police were aided by freshly fallen snow that led them, they said, step-by-step along several paths Houle allegedly took to take things. A suicidal man displayed a knife inside Hope Evangelical Covenant Church in Grand Cities Mall Tuesday morning, frightening a church employee but not actually posing any threat, said police and the pastor.
