GRAND FORKS, ND--We begin with an update to a story we broke earlier this week. A woman came home to find her home had been vandalized--Her American flag nothing but a pile of ashes. She's got a new flag thanks to the community. On Thursday night, WDAY News obtained exclusive video of the vandal caught red handed.
GRAND FORKS—A well known figure in the Grand Forks community has died. John "Sky" Manske was found dead in his home on Wednesday morning, Aug. 15, sources confirm. He was in his early 50's. After purchasing Sanders restaurant in 2015, Manske renamed it "Sky's Fine Dining" after himself and relocated it to its current downtown spot. Prior to purchasing the restaurant, Manske was the head waiter at the former Sanders restaurant for more than a decade. Manske's cause of death has not been made public.

Fresh off his Stanley Cup win former University of North Dakota hockey star Shane Gersich came back to pick up his stuff he left behind after being called up by the Washington Capitals a few months ago only to find his pickup would not start. So he tweeted the UND Police Department for a jumpstart.
GRAND FORKS—For the second time in two weeks, police are investigating a shooting in a Grand Forks home . One man is dead and a woman is in the hospital Thursday night, May 17 recovering from injuries related to the shooting. Neighbors heard the shots, but it took police several hours to find the victims.
GRAND FORKS - More questions continue to pop up about the deaths of a mother and her three kids in what police believe to be a triple murder-suicide. One of the questions being: could this have been prevented? The mother of the three kids made a public plea for help - saying she couldn't afford the mental health help her family needed.
