Benny Huebner, 14, of Grand Forks, shot his first buck just before 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, a few miles south of Grand Forks during North Dakota's youth deer season. This is Huebner's first year deer hunting, and he shot the 8-point buck with a .30-06 rifle at a distance of about 50 yards, said his mom, Kjersten, who submitted the photo.
