Braden Costello, Gavin Hain selected to play in All-American Prospects Game

A pair of UND recruits have been selected to play in the All-American Prospects Game in Buffalo, N.Y., next month.

Grand Forks Red River's Braden Costello and Gavin Hain of Grand Rapids, both 2000-born players who are eligible next summer's NHL Draft, will suit up in the annual contest.

The game will be played on Sept. 21 at KeyBank Center, home of the Buffalo Sabres.

"This event allows some of the best U.S. players eligible for next year's NHL Draft the chance to showcase their talent on a national stage," said Jim Johannson, USA Hockey's assistant executive director of hockey operations. "With input from NHL Central Scouting, this game will feature future stars of the NHL, as over 120 alumni of the event have already been selected."

Costello, a senior, will play this season with the Des Moines Buccaneers in the United States Hockey League. Hain will play for the U.S. Under-18 Team, based in Michigan.
