Bryan Mason walleye

Bryan Mason of Grand Forks caught this 31½- inch walleye Friday, Aug. 31, on Lake of the Woods. “I’ve been fishing for 39 years, and today was the day!” Mason said of his “PB” -- personal best -- walleye, which hit a 3/8-ounce pink-white-hammered gold jig tipped with a frozen shiner. He kept the fish for mounting.
