The quick rundown: Colorado College 4, UND 2

Colorado College 4, UND 2

The story: Colorado College scored in the first period and answered UND's two second-period goals in 29 and 43 seconds to come away with its first win in Ralph Engelstad Arena since March 15, 2014. UND had a nine-game unbeaten streak against the Tigers at home.

Three stars: 1. Troy Conzo, CC, 2 goals; 2. Alex Leclerc, CC, 34 saves; 3. Colton Poolman, UND, goal.

Did you notice: A red blimp was flying around Ralph Engelstad Arena for the first time in about 10 years. The blimp made its debut for the Colorado College game.

Lineup notes: UND played without its second- and third-line centers Nick Jones and Ludvig Hoff. Jones missed his third-straight game with an undisclosed injury. Hoff is in South Korea to play for Norway in the 2018 Winter Olympics. Defenseman Gabe Bast missed his fourth game in a row with an injury, too. UND's first-line center Rhett Gardner returned to the lineup after a five-game absence with a lower-body injury. UND's lone healthy scratch was sophomore Casey Johnson. Colorado College scratched fourth-line right winger after warmups and played 11 forwards and seven defensemen instead of the traditional setup of 12 forwards and eight defensemen.

Updated records: UND 12-8-8 (6-6-4 NCHC), Colorado College 11-11-4 (5-8-3).

Up next: UND and Colorado College complete their two-game series at 7:07 tonight in Ralph Engelstad Arena.
