The quick rundown: UND 5, Bemidji State 1

UND 5, Bemidji State 1

The story: Austin Poganski and Nick Jones both scored two goals as UND snapped Bemidji State's nine-game unbeaten streak, the program's longest in more than a decade, with a 5-1 win. Jones also added an assist for a three-point game and Trevor Olson added an empty-netter. The Fighting Hawks have outscored their opponents 12-1 in the last two games.

Three stars: 1. Nick Jones, UND, 2 goals, 1 assist; 2. Austin Poganski, UND, 2 goals; 3. Shane Gersich, UND, 1 assist.

Did you notice? With Trevor Olson nabbing his first goal of the year with an empty-netter in the third, every forward on UND's roster has a goal this season. The only skater without a goal is rookie defenseman Josh Rieger.

Lineup notes: UND played without defenseman Andrew Peski, who sustained an injury in practice. Sophomore Casey Johnson took his place in the lineup. Grant Mismash went back in after sitting out last Saturday, replacing Zach Yon. Collin Adams and Josh Rieger also were out of the lineup. UND started Cam Johnson in net.

Updated records: UND 12-6-5, Bemidji State 11-7-5.
