Girls basketball

West Fargo Sheyenne 61, Red River 37: West Fargo Sheyenne used a big second half to down Grand Forks Red River in the consolation round of the North Dakota state Class A girls basketball tournament on Friday.

Sheyenne led 33-27 at the half but outscored the Riders 28-10 the rest of the way.

Red River received 11 points from Kenady Steffan. She was the only Red River player in double figures.

Sheyenne shot 31 percent while Red River shot 27 percent.

Maggie Manson led Sheyenne with 18 points.

Fargo Davies 56, Devils Lake 55: Fargo Davies rallied from a five-point halftime deficit to edge Devils Lake on Friday in the consolation round of the North Dakota state Class A tournament.

Mattea Vetsch led the Firebirds with 16 points.

Davies received 17 points from Grace Geffre.

Davies shot 39 percent while the Firebirds ended at 26 percent.

Boys basketball

St. John 68, Langdon-Munich-Edmore 66: Langdon-Edmore-Munich staged a furious fourth-quarter rally but St. John held on to win the North Dakota Region 4 tournament on Friday night.

The Cardinals outscored St. John 23-12 in the final quarter.

St. John was led by Dalton Prouty's 23 points. Kyler McGillis added 22.

L-E-M received 16 points from Grant Romfo.

St. John advances to next week's state Class B tournament.
