Wave split two matches: East Grand Forks Senior High split a pair of duals Tuesday, beating Fergus Falls 5-2 and losing to Crookston 4-3.
Senior High's Ben Kern won both of his matches at No. 1 singles.
Crookston's advantage against Senior High came in the doubles as the Pirates swept all three matches.
"We went into today knowing that one of our top players is hurt," said EGF coach Kyle Hanson. "We left today knowing that his injury is not why we lost. I am extremely frustrated by how we
played today. Our effort level was embarrassing. Only a couple guys truly came
prepared to play and that's on me. No time left for this as sections start Monday."
Deziel wins again: East Grand Forks Senior High's Nate Deziel capture another medalist honor but Crookston came away with the team title in Tuesday's East Grand Forks Invite at Valley Golf Course.
