Northern Arizona rolls past UND in women's basketball

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.—The UND women's basketball team picked up its first league road win of the season to start this road trip, but the Fighting Hawks couldn't pick up the road sweep.

Northern Arizona's Kenna McDavis scored 27 points to lead the Lumberjacks to a 79-59 win over UND on Saturday.

McDavis had seven 3-pointers to lead NAU, which improved to 10-21.

"We didn't play very good defense in the second half," UND coach Travis Brewster said. "You have to be able to play on both ends of the floor."

Lexi Klabo scored 27 to lead UND, which played without usual starter Fallyn Freije, who remains out with an injury.

Jill Morton added 15 points for the Fighting Hawks, who play at Northern Colorado next Saturday at 3 p.m.
