Boys hockey:

Red River 3, Devils Lake 2, OT: Grand Forks Red River remained unbeaten on Tuesday night. Mason Salquist scored with 22 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime

Mason Thingvold got the game-winner in overtime on the Riders' second shift of the extra period.

"We struggled most of the game with energy but Devils Lake played tough," said Red River coach Bill Chase.

Boys basketball

EGF Senior High 82, Red Lake CC 56: East Grand Forks Senior High placed four players in double figures as the Green Wave downed visiting Red Lake County Central on Tuesday night.

Julian Benson scored 17 points to lead the Wave, followed by Cole Anderson (12), Tyler Vossler (11) and Nathan Willet (10).

The Wave shot 49 percent.

Isiah Olson led RLCC with 15 points.

Red River 59, Devils Lake 52: Grand Forks Red River trailed by four points at the half but came back to beat Devils Lake on Tuesday night.

Jordan Polynice led the Riders with 32 points, making 13 of 31 from the field.

"We made a few big plays in the second half and got some stops defensively which lead to the pace going our way," said Red River coach Kirby Krefting.

Jagger Miller led Devils Lake with 16 points.

Fargo South 81, GF Central 52: Fargo South placed three players in double figures as the Bruins took the home win over Grand Forks Central on Tuesday night.

Siadu Conteh and Sam O'Keefe each scored 15 points to lead the Bruins.

Paul Granger and Chris Demuth each scored 11 points from Central while Debyn Johnson added 10.

Girls basketball

East Grand Forks 59, Hawley 45: Natalie Carlstrom scored 13 points to lead East Grand Forks Senior High to the road win Tuesday night. Hawley received 10 points each from Paige Thompson and Marissa Thompson 10

Red River 58, Devils Lake 56: Maggie Steffen and Shelby Frank each score 15 points to lead Grand Forks Red River to the road win Tuesday night.

Devils Lake led 32-30 at halftime.

"We had a great team effort on the road against a very good team," said Red River coach Kent Ripplinger. "Our team rebounded the ball well at times, especially Cassidy Wilson who had 10. We shared the ball well and played really well as a team tonight."

Jes Mertens led Devils Lake with 19 points.

Girls hockey

Grand Forks 3, Devils Lake 0: Hailey Stenberg, Alyssa Mulroy and Katelin Petersen scored for the Grand Forks KnightRiders in their win over Devils Lake on Tuesday.

Teresa Mattson stopped 27 shots in goal for Grand Forks while Molly Black turned aside 30 for Devils Lake.

"I thought we had some great scoring opportunities tonight, but just couldn't bury as many as we would have liked," said Grand Forks coach Alex Hedlund. "Shout out to the DL goalie for a solid performance. Mattson played great for us as well. We are getting better every night, and we are looking forward to seeing what we can do Thursday against Fargo Davies."

East Grand Forks 5, Fargo North-South 4: Livia Pesch scored two goals while Tiffany Hanson, Kylie Stauss and Mac McDonald each scored as East Grand Forks downed Fargo North-South in overtime.

McDonald scored the game-winner at 4:05 of overtime on assists from Nicole Schlenk and Stauss.

McKenzie Whalen stopped 26 shots in goal for the Green Wave.
