Baked Ruffed Grouse

4 ruffed grouse breasts
1 10½-ounce can mushroom soup
2 tablespoons olive oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash the grouse and then brown it in a frying pan. Pour off the excess grease. Do not salt.
Put the grouse in a Dutch oven and add mushroom soup. Cover the kettle and bake 1½ hours.
Note: If you don't care too much for the mushroom flavor, use ½ can cream of mushroom soup and ½ can cream of chicken soup. (The soup will help the grouse to remain moist.)
