Chef Jeff - Recipes - MEN GONE WILD: Pheasant Potato Soup
Pheasant Potato Soup1 large clove garlic (minced)
8 cups water
2 tablespoons of chicken soup base
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
2 teaspoons Babe Winkelman Savory Season-All (www.winkelman.com)
1 large can roasted tomatoes with green chilies
2½ cups cooked pheasant
2 pounds shredded potatoes
1 cup carrots (chopped)
1 large onion (chopped)
1 cup celery (chopped)
1 cup parsley (chopped)
1 pound bacon (cooked & crumbled)
3 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Saute garlic, celery and carrots in butter. Add water, chicken bouillon, soup base and Babe Winkelman's Savory Season All. Simmer for 20 minutes, then add tomatoes, pheasant and potatoes. Simmer for 20 more minutes, add parsley and serve.
