Connor Cleven, Thief River Falls, caught and released this 38-inch northern pike Aug. 12 while fishing with Bruce Henschel on Lake of the Woods. "He had just used his new fishing rod for the first time that he received for his 10th birthday," Henschel writes. "He didn't stop smiling the rest of the day."
