Elementary principal accused of theft, put on leave
DILWORTH, Minn. -- The principal of the Glyndon-Felton Elementary School has been placed on administrative leave, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District Superintendent Bryan Thygeson said Monday, Aug. 8.
Shannon Jean Dahlberg, 45, of Moorhead, was charged Monday with felony theft and felony theft by swindle, Clay County court records show.
Her first court appearance has been set for Sept. 13.
"The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District has received a complaint against Principal Shannon Dahlberg and the complaint is under investigation. Ms. Dahlberg has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation," Thygeson said in a written statement.
"Pursuant to the Minnesota Government Data Practice Act, the district cannot provide any additional information about the complaint or investigation at this time,” Thygeson said.
Thygeson said the case has nothing to do with the school district. Dahlberg's situation was to be discussed at Monday night’s school board meeting, he said.
