Prince tribute concert scheduled at U.S. Bank Stadium

MINNEAPOLIS - A Prince tribute concert has been scheduled for Oct. 13 at U.S. Bank Stadium, according to the late pop star’s sister.

Tyka Nelson, Prince’s sister and fellow musician, said tickets for the memorial concert will will go on sale next month.

Prince Rogers Nelson died April 21 of a drug overdose at the age of 57. Since his death, numerous performers have paid tribute during live performances, including Madonna and Stevie Wonder’s cover of “Purple Rain” at the Billboard Music Awards in May.

Performing acts for the memorial concert are to be announced leading up to the concert, according to a statement.
