Comment period extended on radioactive waste

BISMARCK - The North Dakota Department of Health has extended the deadline for comment submissions on the proposed rule changes related to technologically enhanced naturally occurring radioactive material, or TENORM, to March 2.

The deadline was extended due to numerous requests.

The health department is considering changing its rules for TENORM, commonly found in waste products of oil and gas production.
