NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY ANNUAL DRINKING WATER COMPLIANCE REPORT FOR 2013 NORTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH The federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) has been in existence since 1974. The 1996 amendments contain many new provisions, several of which are intended to improve consumer awareness on drinking water compliance issues. One provision requires states to prepare and submit to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) an annual compliance report on public water system (PWS) violations within the state. The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDH) has developed an annual drinking water compliance report for calendar year 2013. The report identifies all SDWA violations incurred by North Dakota PWSs in 2013, and includes violations that were determined in 2014 based on 2013 monitoring data.
