Williston airport closed over suspicious laptop

WILLISTON, N.D. -- The Williston airport was closed Thursday afternoon after a passenger went through security with a suspicious laptop, KFYR-TV in Bismarck reported.

Williston police told the TV station that the computer had wires coming out of it and that the laptop would not turn on when Transportation Security Administration agents asked the passenger do so.

Authorities considered it a bomb threat.

A person who answered the phone at the airport could not provide further information but said the airport was expected to reopen about 8 p.m.
