Authorities do not suspect any foul play in McIntosh death
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office does not suspect any foul play in the death of a 60-year-old McIntosh, Minn., man late Saturday.
Richard Wagner was found dead by a caretaker in his home, said Sgt. Mike Norland of the Sheriff’s Office.
“At this time, I don’t see any charges being brought, but I want to wait until our investigation is complete,” said Norland, adding that he did not believe there was a threat to public safety.
First responders transported Wagner to the UND Medical Examiner’s Office in Grand Forks for an autopsy according to a press release.
Norland said the Sheriff’s Office is still waiting on the final autopsy report. He declined to comment on a possible cause of death before seeing that report.
Norland would not say how Wagner was found.
Wagner had limited mobility and used a walker, according to Norland.
