Helping hands: Motorcycle ride ... Cruetz benefit ... Host families

  •  Motorcycle ride: The East Grand Forks Fire Department is hosting a Fireman’s Fun Motorcycle Run and Supper Feed Saturday. Registration starts at 11 a.m. followed by ride out at noon from the East Grand Forks Eagles Club, 227 10th St. N.W. The cost is $10 per bike and $5 per passenger, and a meal is included with registration upon returning to the Eagles Club. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and poker run. Info: (218) 779-8188.
  •  Creutz benefit: A spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser will be held for Lynnette Creutz from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the East Grand Forks Eagles Club, 227 10th St. N.W. Creutz is a retired special education teacher who continues to work and volunteer part time. She has been diagnosed with multiple disabilities, including lipo-lymphedema, a genetic condition that causes painful leg enlargement, and spondylolisthesis, a degenerative spinal condition.   •  Host families: The ASSE International Student Exchange Programs are looking for local families to host boys and girls between 15 and 18 from a variety of countries around the world. Students are eager to practice their English and experience American culture but will also share their own culture with host families.   •  Dahlen benefit: A donation fund has been set up at the North Dakota Association for the Disabled for Lexie Dahlen, 19, who has been in the hospital since her May 13 liver transplant. Donations can be made to NDAD, c/o Lexie Dahlen Fundraiser, 2660 S.
