Grand Forks man arrested after car crash

Two drivers were injured and one arrested after traffic accident in Grand Forks Tuesday.

According to police, Ryan John Jensen, 19, of Grand Forks, was driving east on 24th Avenue South around noon, entered the intersection at South 20th Street against a red light and struck a 2006 Buick Lucerne driven by Juanita Muir, 83, of Grand Forks, who was traveling south.

Muir was taken to Altru for treatment of unknown injuries. Jensen was arrested after being treated for injuries and released at Altru. He faces charges of driving under the influence, reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. He also was cited for disregarding a traffic signal.
