Longest Table event aims to connect community over dinner
GRAND FORKS - On Wednesday, as many as 750 people could sit down for dinner on the streets of Downtown Grand Forks
It's called the Longest Table and it's an event designed to bring the community together.
Organizers say they want people who have not met to talk to each other, share some food and ideas.
They'll have stuffed chicken breasts, vegetarian and gluten free options donated by Hugo's
"We're bringing people from all faith backgrounds, all ethnic backgrounds, different cultures together to really talk about the fact that this is our city and we get to build it how we want,” said Organizer Becca Cruger.
Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
They only have enough room for 750 people so they say you should get there early.
