EGF Freshmen kick off first day of high school

EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. - Ninth grade students hit the books on Tuesday in East Grand Forks.

Students walked to all of their classes, got to know their teachers and met up with old friends today.

They tell us they're looking forward to math and Spanish classes.

The freshman class was the only one in session ahead of Tuesday, to get them in the routine at their new school.

“Probably some new opportunities and learning stuff I didn't learn in the past. Just like getting to see all my friends again and just kind of like meeting all the new teachers and finding out all my classes and just 'cause I didn't want to be confused or anything,” said one student.

The rest of the school district is in session starting Wednesday.
