Proposal could expand Grand Forks
GRAND FORKS - Grand Forks could get a little bigger - if a proposal is approved by the city council.
A section of land on the southwest part of town could soon be annexed from the county in to the city.
It's located just south of the Flying J travel plaza along I-29 South.
"We left a broad enough picture I think that there's a lot of potential for development in that area,” said Brad Gengler of the Planning Department.
Developers think they could turn it into anything from a go kart track - to an industrial park.
