Two North Dakota men face theft, meth charges

Travis Ryan Brendel

Police arrested a Grafton, N.D., man last week for his alleged involvement in a string of robberies and for carrying methamphetamine with an estimated street value of about $10,000 according to the Grafton Police Department.

Travis Ryan Brendel, 29, of Grafton, was admitted to the Walsh County jail on a number of theft-related charges after police found a stolen trailer and stolen ATV in his garage, court documents say. Brendel has also been implicated in the theft of a Haulmark trailer from a Grafton man’s backyard, according to court records.

The three stolen vehicles were worth upwards of $3,000.

Kendall Scott Feist, 33, of Bismarck, also faces stolen property charges after the Haulmark trailer turned up in a police search of a Valley City, N.D., property where utilities were listed under Feist’s name, according to court documents.

The two men also have drug-related charges. Court documents say that Brendel told police where to find a backpack of his, which contained 4.75 ounces of meth along with a pipe and syringes. Feist allegedly gave Brendel the drugs to sell.

A warrant is out for Feist’s arrest. Brendel has been released on bond.

Brendel was charged with one count of accomplice to theft of property, two counts of stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia, all class C felonies. He was also charged with a class A felony: possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Feist was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property — a class C felony — and delivery of a controlled substance — a class A felony.
