Crash kills Warroad man, sends another to hospital with life-threatening injuries
ROSEAU, Minn.—A Warroad, Minn., man was not wearing a seat belt when he was killed Thursday in a crash in northwest Minnesota.
James Wellington Cratty, 89, died in the crash, and Myrna Sue Cratty of Warroad, was transported to a hospital for life-threatening injuries, according to a news release. The Minnesota State Patrol responded shortly after 11:45 a.m. to the crash about 11 miles east of Roseau on Minnesota Highway 11. The one-vehicle crash occurred after Cratty's 2004 Dodge Dakota slipped of the icy highway while passing another vehicle. The Dodge then rolled into a ditch.
The passenger was wearing a seat belt while the driver was not.
Roseau is about 60 miles northeast of Thief River Falls.
