The Love Feast meal will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 in Zion United Methodist Church, 1001 24th Ave. S., Grand Forks. University Lutheran Church will purchase, provide, prepare and serve a meal of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and a variety of pumpkin desserts. Blood pressure checks will be available. St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 715 24th Ave. S., Grand Forks, is chartering a coach bus to the annual Concordia College Christmas concert, "From Heaven Above to Earth He Comes," at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, Moorhead. The bus will depart from the church at 11:30 a.m. that day. The registration deadline is Nov. 28 and tickets are $25 per person which includes bus fare, a concert ticket and sack lunch. St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Devils Lake is holding its Christmas bazaar and luncheon from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. Rolls and donuts, along with the bazaar and bake sale, start at 8 a.m. and a Swiss steak lunch begins at 11 a.m. For more info, call (701) 665-3170.
Bygland Lutheran Church, located 8 miles south of East Grand Forks on Highway 220, is holding its "Christmas in the Country" lutefisk and meatball dinner, bazaar and bake sale from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3. The cost is $15 for adults.
Bethel Lutheran Church will be holding a four-week sermon series, "The Star: A Journey to Christmas," starting Sunday, Dec. 3 at their 10:30 a.m. service, based on the Advent theme of hope, love, joy and peace. On Christmas Eve, they will hold two services: 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., which will be the candlelight service.
