NPR national political reporter to deliver keynote in UND ethics symposium
NPR national political correspondent Mara Liasson will speak Tuesday at UND as the keynote presenter of the 2017 Olafson Ethics Symposium.
Liasson has been covering presidential elections for NPR since 1992. Her current reporting focuses on politics and policy from Washington D.C. and beyond and is featured on NPR programs such as Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
At UND, Liasson will speak on the subjects of "fake news" and the modern media landscape.
The annual Olafson symposium, named after UND alumnus Robert Olafson, is hosted by the UND College of Business and Public Administration and is dedicated to engaging attendees in conversations about ethical decision making. Attendance to the event is free and open to the general public. A dessert reception will follow.
The symposium begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the UND Memorial Union Ballroom.
