Boy accidentally shoots another child in Polk County, sheriff says
FISHER, Minn.—An accidental shooting has left a child injured in Polk County.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded at 11 a.m. Saturday to rural Fisher, where a boy was accidentally shot by another juvenile male subject, according to a news release. The injured boy was taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff's Office didn't specify the nature of the shooting or disclose the boys' ages, but officers did identify the weapon as a small caliber rifle. The accident is under investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
