People of Grand Forks on a mission for Chick-Fil-A
GRAND FORKS—A herd of people (some even dressed as farm animals) are on a mission for chicken in Grand Forks.
People are lining up outside of Chick-Fil-A in Grand Forks. The motive? Free chicken sandwiches and lemonade for a full year.
They love Chick-Fil-A and they're waiting all night in the cold for their favorite fried food.
Camping tents and coats are all some of the nearly three dozen people out here have to protect them from the weather.
But there's room for more.
The first 100 will get a special card just before the restaurant opens Thursday at 6:30 in the morning.
A costumed cow and chicken skipped class in order to wait for their favorite grub.
Those UND students say they're excited for the food but they don't have a tent yet, or plan for when temperatures drop to the mid-40s.
“I'm kind of a spur of the moment kind of girl so I haven't thought too much about tonight but I have a couple blanket,” said UND student, Madelaine Richardson.
