Car hits teen then crashes into a restaurant in Grand Forks
GRAND FORKS -- A teen was hurt when a car crashed through the window of a Little Caesar's Pizza in Grand Forks Thursday night.
It happened just before midnight on South Washington Street.
The driver Ihsan Inad of Grand Forks says his foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas pedal.
The car hit a 17-year-old bystander before crashing into the building, the teen was taken to Altru and treated for minor injuries.
"Sometimes it's just as simple as not paying attention to what you are doing, and that's really just a good tip all the way around when we are driving. Just paying attention to what's going on around you, paying attention to what you're doing, and hopefully that'll eliminate some of the different types of crashes like this," said Sgt. Travis Benson, Grand Forks Police Department
Little Caesar's says business has not been affected by the incident.
Police say the teen who was hit is doing okay.
Grand Forks, N.D. -- A 17-year-old is hurt after a driver lost control of his car in Grand Forks and hit the teen before crashing into a building.
The crash happened just after 8:00 Thursday night.
According to the Grand Forks Police Department, Ihsan Inad of Grand Forks was driving on South Washington Street when his foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas petal.
That caused Inad to lose control of his car and hit a 17-year-old bystander.
Inad then crashed into the Little Caesar's on South Washington.
The teen was taken to Altru Hospital for a minor injury.
Inad was cited for care required.
