Larimore family among seven injured in Steele County crash
HOPE, N.D.-- Seven people were hospitalized, one via helicopter, when a truckful of juveniles collided with a Larimore, N.D., family Sunday afternoon in Steele County.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol said Nicholas Pietron, 29, Larimore, was driving northbound in a Toyota Rav-4 on Highway 32 when he struck a Ford F-150 driving eastbound on Highway 38 passing through the intersection.
The Highway 32 and Highway 38 junction is about three miles west of Hope, N.D.
The 17-year-old driver of the pick-up was taken to Sanford Hospital in Fargo by life flight. Two passengers in the truck, a 15-year-old and a 10-year-old, were brought to the hospital by ambulance.
Nicholas Pietron, 30-year-old Lindsay Pietron and two juveniles in the Rav-4 were taken to Sanford by ambulance.
State troopers are investigating the crash.
