Friends mourn Wyoming men killed in Saturday plane crash near Thief River Falls

Man injured, cited with drunk driving in ATV crash

ADAMS, N.D.—A man suffered significant injuries early Sunday morning while driving an off-road four-wheeler in rural Walsh County.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. on a partially ice-covered dirt surface on property along Highway 35, 8 miles southwest of Adams.

The Patrol said 38-year-old Christopher Bata of Adams was ejected from the ATV. He was not wearing a helmet.

Bata was taken by ambulance to First Care Health Center in Park River, N.D. His condition is unknown.

The Patrol said Bata was cited for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.

Adams is about 80 miles northwest of Grand Forks.
