Two inmates walk away from Devils Lake jail facility
DEVILS LAKE—Two inmates of the Lake Region Law Enforcement Center did not return to the jail's Residential Reentry Center after being allowed to leave Tuesday.
According to a news release from the jail, Brendon Scott Belgarde Jr., 22, left the center to go to his job at Marco's Pizza and did not return by 10:30 p.m. By midnight he was still absent and considered by the jail to have absconded.
Also Tuesday, inmate Tyler John Rainbow, 37, signed out of the center to smoke around 10:50 p.m. and walked away. He was marked as absconded after he did not return by 12:50 a.m., according to a second news release.
Belgarde is Native American, 5 feet 9 inches, 160 pounds and has a bear paw tattoo below his right eye and a cross tattoo between his eyes. He has been serving time for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft of property in Ramsey County since Dec. 14 and is not considered dangerous.
Rainbow is Native American, 5 feet 9 inches, 220 pounds and has short brown hair. He has been serving time at the reentry center since Jan. 5 for violating parole on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Ramsey County. He is not considered dangerous.
The Law Enforcement Center asks anyone who sees the Belgarde or Rainbow to contact police or call 911.
