Men's basketball: UND 74, Mayville State 57

Jamal Webb scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists to lead UND past Mayville State 74-57 tonight in men's basketball at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.

The win improved UND to 4-6.

Webb was one of four UND players in double figures. Aaron Anderson, a freshman guard, added 15 points. Patrick Mitchell and Troy Huff each added 10 for the Sioux.

Mayville was led by Shavontae Samuels' 26 points. Dalonte Gibson added 12 for the NAIA school.

The Sioux shot 51 percent from the field and outrebounded the Comets 37-28.

The Sioux played without Mitch Wilmer and Chris Clausen. Both sat out with injuries.

A year ago, Mayville beat UND 73-61.

Mayville came into the game with a 5-4 record.
