These are other area benefits set for the coming weeks:

- Polar plunge: Pledges are being taken for Grand Forks' first polar plunge set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Canad Inn. Registration runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. To pledge, call Special Olympics North Dakota at (701) 746-0331.

- Brittany Dvorak: A pancake benefit is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the Oslo (Minn.) Community Center. Brittany is the daughter of Scott and Julie Dvorak. The event is sponsored by Bigwoods Lutheran Church.

- Randy Zimprich: Dinner is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

- Prairie Harvest Human Services Foundation: Dinner is set for 6 to 9 p.m., with a live auction at 7:30 p.m., March 13 in the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. Tickets are $20. For more information, call (701) 795-9143.

- Karen Schelinder: A benefit luncheon is set for 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 15 in University Lutheran Church, 2122 University Ave., Grand Forks. It's sponsored by Thrivent Financial.

- Tyler Solem: A spaghetti dinner is set for 4 to 7:30 p.m. in the Oslo (Minn.) American Legion followed, by a dance at 9 p.m. at Bottoms Up.
