APPSNAP: Retail Me Not a good choice for bargain hunters

Three out of five stars.

Retail Me Not is a bargain hunter’s dream.

The free, easy-to-use app allows users the ability to browse, save and share coupons from many of the largest retail stores in the country. The assortment of stores available in the app appeals to just about anyone interests.

The home screen allows users to cycle through the day’s best daily deals. From there, you can see more details about the offer and its expiration date. Users are also given the ability to share the deal via social media or email or save the deal for later. You’re also able to search for deals by location, most popular and the top-rated coupons.

Retail Me Not also shows you coupons for both in-store and online purchases. This is a handy feature that could potentially save you a trip to a local stores or incontinence down the line.

On the downside, the app only shows deals and offers from the retail giants. It would be nice to see local business deals in the app as well.

It’s also difficult to find coupons in your area. You can search for stores nearby, but don’t have the option to search by ZIP code or find local deals.

Some of the coupons are also uploaded by users, which can cause some of the deals to be inaccurate or out of date. This can lead to some inconvenience or disappointment at the register.

To me, these deficiencies limit the app. An option to better search your current area, or another location, would be great and push the app over the top.

All in all, Retail Me Not is worth the download, especially if you’re about to embark on a big shopping trip.
