Bismarck and Fargo ranked top places to raise a family
Two North Dakota cities were rated among the best places in the country to raise a family, a recent study said.
Bismarck placed fifth and Fargo came in at seventh in the Wallethub study.
Bismarck ranked first for affordability, including housing and average cost of living. The study also ranked cities on family fun, health and safety, education and child care and socioeconomics. There were 182 cities included, with at least two from each state.
Overland Park, Kan., is the overall best place in the country to raise a family and Newark, N.J., is the worst, the study said.
