• The new exhibit, "This Week Only," featuring noncurated art from artists in the region, continues today through Sunday in the North Dakota Museum of Art. Visitors vote for their favorite artwork. Suggested $5 donation. Info:

• A ham supper followed by the Canadian band Country Blend/The Fugitives is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today in the Eagles Club in Thief River Falls. Music and dancing will be from 7 to 11 p.m. Admission for the entire evening is $15 and to the dance only is $12. Info: (218) 681-2406.

• "Growing Up: The UND Cabaret Showcase" is at 7:30 p.m. today in the Empire Arts Center, downtown, Grand Forks. Enjoy an evening of songs from contemporary musical theater, Broadway and more by students from the UND Theater Department. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Info:

• "Prelude to a Kiss" continues at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday night and at 2 p.m. Sunday in Fire Hall Theatre, downtown, Grand Forks. It also shows the third weekend of February, Thursday through Saturday (no Sunday showing that weekend). This modern-day fairy tale is not intended for children. • The "Hairball: An '80s Tribute Band" concert is at 8 p.m. today in the Alerus Center, Grand Forks. General admission tickets for all ages are $20. Doors open at 7 p.m. Info:

• The FIRST LEGO League State Robotics Championship tournament is from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the UND Memorial Union, Grand Forks. It is hosted by the UND College of Engineering and Mines and will feature student teams from area North Dakota and Minnesota schools and communities. Info:

• The seventh annual Sunshine Fest is from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in Ralph Engelstad Arena, Grand Forks. Included are a 5K outdoor run and 3K indoor walk, food, prizes, kid zone and more. Proceeds go to the Sunshine Memorial Foundation's project, The Sunshine Hospitality House. Info:

• The 45th Northeast District Junior Music Festival is from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the UND Hughes Fine Arts Center, on UND campus, Grand Forks. The event features more than 400 student entries of vocal, strings and piano, and is sponsored by Thursday Music Club of Greater Grand Forks and the North Dakota Federation of Music Clubs. • The second event of Koselig 2017, a day of outdoor fun in the snow, is at 11 a.m. Saturday in the warming house at University Park in Grand Forks. Take part in an obstacle course race, climb on and sled down snow piles, make your own snow creations, and enjoy hot drinks and snacks. May want to bring a shovel and other snow creation tools. • UND's 55th annual Feast of Nations is at 5 p.m. Saturday, starting with the red carpet followed by the program at 6 p.m. in the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. Tickets are $25 for students and $35 for nonstudents. Info:

• The International Wind Ensemble Concert is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Chester Fritz Auditorium. Two wind ensembles from China will perform and the UND wind ensemble will join them for a few songs as well. Tickets at the door are $7 for adults and students, and children are admitted free. • 1919 Lounge presents vocalist "Tony Desare: Night Life" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday night. Enjoy a show of a post-modern version of the New York nightclub shows of the '50s. Tickets range from $45 to $55, plus a $10 minimum food or beverage purchase per guest. Info:

• The second of four book discussions leading up to the 48th annual UND Writers Conference, March 22-24, with the theme Citizen, is from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Grand Forks Public Library. Brian Schill will lead the discussion on "The Sympathizer," by Viet Thanh Nguyen, and the event is free and open to the public. Info:

• The "Frankenstein: Penetrating the Secrets of Nature" exhibit will be on display from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 13 through March 17, excluding weekends, in the new School of Medicine and Health Sciences building, in the Library of the Health Sciences,1301 N. • The Unspoken Word Tour features Jake "The Snake" Roberts with Alex Ansel at 8 p.m. Monday in the Empire Arts Center, downtown Grand Forks. Jake is a WWE Hall of Famer and legend in the wrestling world. VIP tickets are $40, general admission are $25. Info:

• The deadline for a Play Day at Fire Hall Theatre for students in Minnesota schools is Wednesday. The Play Day is from 1 to 5 p.m. Feb. 17 in the Fire Hall Theatre in downtown Grand Forks, and is for students in grades K-6. Capacity is 24 actors. The cost is $35 and $30 for additional actors in the same family or if signing up for more than one play day. Info and registration form:

• Veterans film: "The Next Mission," is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, with doors opening at 6 p.m. in the Empire Arts Center, downtown Grand Forks. The documentary allows viewers to experience the post-military transition. A panel discussion will follow at 7:30 to 8 p.m. Info:
