Cramers Fake Trump Support
I find it a little ironic that Kevin Cramer is trying to focus his entire campaign on the idea that him and Donald Trump are close allies when he originally supported Marco Rubio and Scott Walker to take on Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.
Unfortunately for Cramer, folks in North Dakota have long memories. And the internet...
Just two years ago, as Donald Trump was cruising through the Republican primary, that Kevin Cramer told the Grand Forks Herald "Donald Trump would not likely be my first choice. He might not be one of my first four choices."
Not even among his top four choices! At that point in the race, there were only five candidates left in the field. That means Cramer preferred John Kasich, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Ben Carson over the president. And now he wants us to believe they're best friends?
Cramer only started backing the president after he held an online poll that showed most North Dakotans preferred Trump. Once he realized it could help his career, Cramer changed his tune. Now, he's betting everything on the fact that people won't do even the most basic research.
Bad news. People don't forget.
