According to Roger Hollevoet, project leader of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Devils Lake Wetland Management District, refuge crews removed the boards from the water control and drained Upper Pool 1 last fall so the contractors could place the riprap. With the project complete, crews replaced the boards about a week ago, and the pool filled up in a matter of days.
The Red River Resource Conservation and Development Council has developed an online survey and is asking local citizens in Nelson, Walsh, Pembina, and Grand Forks counties to take 15 minutes to provide input on concerns that you would like the council to address in regard to land management, water management, land conservation, and community development in the next five years.
