Walter Cronkite’s final resting place will be next to his late wife in Missouri, where the two first met, said Marlene Adler, his longtime chief of staff. The 92-year-old former CBS anchorman died Friday at his Manhattan home of disease involving blood vessels in the brain.

Cronkite: “Mr. President, the only hot war we’ve got running at the moment is, of course, the one in Vietnam. And we’ve got our difficulties there, quite obviously.”
