A man and woman were found dead in a home in Walhalla, N.D., Thursday morning.
The Pembina Co. Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call to the home at about 3 a.m., said Chief Deputy Sheriff Jeff Osvold.
For 62 horse riders from the surrounding area, this holiday weekend was the time to gather for the Walhalla Ridge Riders Saddle Club two-day fall trail ride near North Dakota’s Pembina Gorge.
Kim Johnson, president of the club, said this is the 23rd year for the event that has attracted riders from South Dakota, the Twin Cities and many parts of the Red River Valley.
Cowboy storyteller Ryan Taylor, the bluegrass band the North River Ramblers and short stories around the campfire by UND’s Virgil Benoit all will be a part of the fourth annual Art & Heritage Festival on Saturday in Walhalla, N.D.
