Conrad announces new VA clinic in Devils Lake 
Veterans Administration officials have agreed to open a new clinic in Devils Lake, said Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., Thursday. The Devils Lake clinic will have a part-time doctor, a full-time nurse and “telehealth” services that would allow veterans to have direct access with specialists at the Fargo VA medical center.

Today is the day after Veterans Day. Yesterday saw the annual lineup of speeches, ceremonies and news features about veterans, all of them dedicated to giving vets their annual day.
But what about today? What about tomorrow?
What about all of the other days of the year, considering that so many wounded veterans now need continuing care?

A Veterans Administration official says more than 1,000 military veterans already have filed paperwork to switch their care to Grand Forks from other VA facilities, including the VA Medical Center in Fargo and the VA Clinic in Grafton.

GF VA clinic set to open 
The new Grand Forks clinic, which officially will open Sept. 9 in a spacious 9,000-square-foot office at 3221 32nd Ave. S., across the parking lot from Kohl’s Department Store. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
