More than a month ago, members of the UND women’s hockey staff privately started calculating what it would take to make the NCAA tournament.
It all led back to the same spot; meeting Wisconsin in the WCHA Final Faceoff.

After having a third knee surgery in three years, Jordan Slavin pondered whether she should try to continue to play hockey. Slavin, who missed the stretch run and playoffs in each of the last two years, is finally able to be on the ice during the most critical time of the year.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY: Lamoureux breaks WCHA all-time scoring record in 7-0 shutout
Jocelyne Lamoureux collected a career-best six assists, and set the all-time WCHA record for career points and assists. She missed by just one assist of tying the NCAA record for assists in a game (7) set by Harvard’s Jennifer Botterill (2002) in North Dakota’s 7-0 blanking of visiting Bemidji State.

Michelle Karvinen missed summer training and fall camp. She wasn’t able to start the season on time, either, for the UND women’s hockey team. But that lack of preparation hasn’t been a problem. Karvinen has been dominant when she’s been on the ice, racking up 24 points in 10 games.
