High winds, blowing snow and icy roads contributed to an accident between a semi-trailer and a North Dakota Highway Patrol cruiser Thursday morning near the Pembina, N.D., port of entry, according to the patrol.
A report by the Minnesota State Patrol said Brent A. McManigle, 33, was traveling west at 7:32 a.m. Tuesday in a 2010 Freightliner semi when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer on Minnesota Highway 11 east of Baudette.
The Montana Highway Patrol says a truck carrying a load of beehives from Minnesota to California crashed in south-central Montana, spilling the hives and wrecking the truck. The driver was not injured.
