A Grand Forks company that has a plan to improve brake lights on semitrailers is getting a state income tax break.
The state Board of Tax Equalization has granted a five-year, 100 percent income tax exemption for Deceleration Technologies.
The Internal Revenue Service has already started sending tax charts and instructions to human resource directors on how to dole out the new tax credits to qualifying workers: up to $400 per worker and $800 per couple, said James Dupree, an IRS spokesman in Baltimore.
