A Cambridge, Minn., man has pleaded not guilty to gross misdemeanor stalking. Joshua Joseph Brunner, 28, entered the plea this past week before Beltrami County District Judge Shari Schluchter. His next court date was set for June 26.
Bail was set at $450,000 Monday for a man who is accused of stalking his wife and children through four states, assaulting and threatening to kill her, and then having a man kidnap her and her three children from the Safe Haven Shelter in Duluth.
A California man who trolled women's Facebook pages searching for clues that allowed him to take over their email accounts was sentenced Friday to more than four years in state prison after a judge rejected a plea for a lighter sentence and likened the man to a peeping Tom.
Michael Daniel Arnold, 27, was sentenced Friday morning to 27 months in prison on a felony count of harassment or stalking stemming from stalking female joggers and walkers on Skyline Parkway and in the area of Kenwood and the University of Minnesota Duluth. The charges against him were filed in April 2010.
New Brighton police are asking for the public’s help in solving the murder of a retired firefighter. Lee Allen Goodwin, 70, was found dead at the bottom of a flight of basement steps last January. Police suspect someone broke into Goodwin’s home to rob him and ended up killing him. His wallet was later found in a trash bin about a mile from his house.
